Jim Lang
Best-selling author, television producer, aviator, educator, philosopher and humorist.
Currently completing his Ph.D. in philosophy at the Ontario Insitute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, Jim Lang has changed the course of his professional speaking career to concentrate on "dialogue across differences" in education. Blending his unique and original humour with timely content for educators, Jim has turned his avocation in philosophy to a full-time profession. Jim possesses the rare ability to translate scholarly philosophical research into language everyone can understand--and enjoy! And his message is crucial to schools, democratic society and the world where cultural and religious differences threaten our very existence. Jim brings "questions to guide reflection" for teachers attempting to meet the challenges of broad cultural, racial, and religious diversity in their classrooms, and for politicians, administrators and leaders who struggle to set policy for them. Jim brings a lifetime of experience in business, education, the arts, and professional speaking. His speaking clients have consistently evaluated his presentations at 9 /10. For decades he has brought a message of "welcoming change" to his presentations. Now, he is "walking that talk," as he turns the page to a new chapter in his professional speaking career, following his passion for teachers, students and for learning, itself. Find out how philosophy can be fun and "mind-changing" at the same time. Find out how you can learn to change your own mind through questions, rather than answers. Jim provides the questions; you provide your own answers. Book Jim Lang for his new keynote presentation, "Ten Questions that can Change Your Mind." Educator/Education
