Noel McNaughton
A mentor and 'elder' who can help others manage the changes that come with aging, and discover the 'gold' in their lives.
Life brings change. Some is challenging, some is a relief! How we react to changes due to aging depends on how prepared we are, and how we view ourselves in the process of aging.
Barring a personal catastrophe, all of us will become elderly, but not all will become elders. The Elder is seen as a valuable resource, a person others can come to for a listening ear, a compassionate heart, and a voice with wisdom. The merely elderly are seen as largely irrelevant.
Noel is a guide and mentor who can help people discover a new, different energy, and make sense of their changing priorities as they age. They can become excited about aging – having something to grow into, instead of just feeling there is something they are losing.
Now in his 60s, Noel has a wide variety of work and personal experience. He has been an international communications consultant, television news reporter with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, internationally-syndicated radio commentator, cross-cultural adult educator, farmer, farm management trainer, guide and outfitter, and oilfield contractor.
Throughout his life, Noel has answered the 'call of his soul' to explore his relationship with the Creator, and with other people. He has participated in many personal growth experiences, experienced a profound spiritual awakening in his late 30s, and has continued to grow both personally and spiritually. He is active in the Elder movement in the ManKind Project, an international non-religious men's organization. (www.mkp.org).
Noel is owner of www.midlife-men.com, a resource website for men in midlife. He is author of the book "Prime Cuts: Life Strategies For Farming After Fifty" and the ebook: "Picking Up The Burning Feather: A Spiritual Guide For Midlife Men".
