Average Salary Per Speech
As Public Speaking is usually a solo enterprise, the speaker has to make sure that he or she is priced competitively. Fortunately, the main factor affecting your profits deal with your level of expertise. So, for example, I would more inclined to engage a speaker of seven year expertise, rather than a novice. This means that the novice has to price at a compartively lower rate. Also, this means that the smaller the cost, the smaller the speaking event is likely to be. That’s great if you’re a new speaker, who does not know all the tricks of the trade yet. On average a public speaker of about one year’s expertise can expect to charge around $2000 for one event. But like all good industries, the better speaker you become, the bigger the events you can handle, and the more you can charge. There’s no real salary limit to public speaking, and the best speakers can make tens of thousands of dollars in one speech.
