Expenses

The financial issue of starting up is very small. If you are reading this, chances are you already own a computer. You may have your own presentation software. You are able to list yourself at www.speakersportal.com for $39.95 a month. If you have the money, hiring a recommended trainer is a good idea. These however, can be expensive. Depending on the particular trainer, the average price can be as high as $5000. Transportation cost are as high you make them. If you travel by bus everywhere, and stay in a motel 6 every night, your expenses are obviously much smaller than staying at the Hilton. However, if you stay in the local area for most of your buisness, you can greatly reduce your travel costs. But that is not possible for every speech. Overall, you have impact over your expenses, which one advantage that public speaking has over other proprietorships.
