Preparing The Visual
If you feel the need to have a visual presentation to go with your talk, be cautious. You don’t want the presentation to be too flashy and distract everyone’s attention, but you don’t want the presentation to be too bland, either. The presentation has to have good timing, else your audience gets confused. Make sure you practice working with your presentation while you talk. your professionalism could be lost if you fiddle with a powerpoint presentation too much.
Finally, don’t be afraid to change the visual. If something just isn’t working, don’t hesitate to leave the visual out entirely.
